Your experience matters.
This doesn’t need to be polished, powerful, or profound.
If Tap Teachers’ Lounge supported you in any way—big or small—I’d love to hear about it in your own words. A short, honest phone video is more than enough.
You’re not speaking to “everyone.”
You’re simply sharing your experience—one tap teacher to another.
Often, it’s the quiet, real stories that help someone else feel less alone or more confident in their next step. And if your video does that for even one teacher, that matters.
Participation is completely optional.
Short and simple is perfect.
As a thank-you, I have a few prizes in store, including a sponsored seat in Tap Choreography Lab for one alum.Â
Thank you for being part of this community and for the work you do in the Tap world. ❤️

I'm in! Submit my Video Testimonial!Submission Instruction TutorialÂ
This is an older vid, but the general instructions are still good! Here, I'll walk you through the submission process, and chat about why I think this is a great way that you could help other educators & students all over the Tap Dance WORLD!
AVOID talking about...
To make this easy (and less awkward), here are a couple things you don’t need to include in your video:
-
You don’t need to talk about me as a person.
This isn’t about "Karida is so cool" praise or personality—it’s about your experience.
Â
-
You don’t need to explain specific details from inside the program.
For example, generally mentioning music theory is great...but randomly talking about "pineapples & pomengranates" might be confusing! haha
If it might sound confusing to someone who hasn’t been inside the program, you can skip it.
Â
-
You don’t need to list everything you learned.
One small shift or realization is more than enough.
Short, human, and real is perfect.Â
What SHOULD I talk about?
Here are some "prompts"Â for inspiration.
You can choose one that feels easiest and speak from there.
Option A: Before → After
-  “Before I joined Tap Teachers’ Lounge, I was struggling with…”
-  “After being inside TTL, what changed for me was…”
Option B: One meaningful takeaway
“One thing I learned or implemented from Tap Teachers’ Lounge that really stuck with me is…”
Option C: Confidence & support
“One way Tap Teachers’ Lounge encouraged me or gave me more confidence as a tap teacher was…”
Option D: The decision moment
“I decided to join Tap Teachers’ Lounge because…”
Option E: Unexpected benefit
“One surprising or unexpected benefit of joining Tap Teachers’ Lounge for me was…”
If you’re not sure which prompt to choose, the one that feels easiest is usually the right one. ❤️
