What SHOULD I talk about in my video?

Focus only on 1 or 2 specific ideas that reflect your experience and journey with the TTL program! Here's some "prompts" for inspiration; choose whatever resonates with you the most:

1) "Before I joined the TTL program, I was struggling with/overwhelmed by..."

2) "Once major thing that I've learned (or implemented) from the TTL program is..."

3) If you are a Tap dance educator who's trying to decide whether or not to join the TTL program, my advice is ____ because ______" 

4) "I decided to join the Tap Teachers' Lounge program because..."

5) "One way that the TTL program has encouraged me/given me confidence is..." 

6) "One surprising benefit of joining the TTL program for me was..."

What SHOULDN'T I talk about in my video?

In a word...

"Karida".

"Karida is so great..."

"Karida is amazing..."

"Karida is the best..."

I BEG you: please don't spend 2 minutes talking about me, seriously!

I'm not saying this out of humility; I'm saying this because I am thinking about what would be most helpful to dance educators to learn from watching your video.

I believe that it would help people to hear about YOUR experiences, waaaaay more than to hear you go on and on about me!!! 

So please, talk about YOU and YOUR journey, and don't spend that time focused on "Karida"! :-P

Yes!! 

YOUR voice is important.

If you're very early in your journey, your video will really resonate with educators who are just getting started! 

If you've made a lot of strides, that would be so inspirational! 

No matter the style you teach, no matter if you teach in public schools private studios, online, social dance classes...your voice will resonate with folks out there!

3 EASY STEPS to Submit your Video  

STEP 1: Create a 2 minute horizontal/landscape testimonial video on ANY device talking about your experience of choosing to join Tap Teachers' Lounge AND your experience. Click here for ideas on what to say, and what NOT to say!

STEP 2: Complete the submission form, and you'll be sent to a confirmation page

STEP 3: Upload your two-minute video to my Dropbox folder. The confirmation page has an upload link; post the video to that link! 

**You must submit your video by Sunday, October 15th to be considered for prizes**

Your video will be shared in various ways (social media, emails, ads) to encourage other dance educators to consider joining the Tap Teachers' Lounge program.

I really believe that your voice will really create waves of impact...

...just ONE dance educator who is inspired by YOUR video influences a great number of students...

...so your impact can truly be EXPONENTIAL!!!

I will invite folks in my Facebook group and on my email list to vote for their favorite video. 

The 3 videos with the highest votes will win! 

Prize winners will be announced on the Fall TTL Alumni "Check-in" Session live on Zoom!

Even though you've already done a written testimonial, folks would love to see and hear from you on video.

And yeah, you can enter to win a prize!!!

1) Please keep the video to 2 minutes

2) Landscape/Horizontal filming would be ideal.

3) You can use your phone, computer camera, whatever. 

4) Make sure your lighting enables you and your face to be clearly featured. 

(no "witness protection" videos please, haha) 

5) Keep it simple and FAST. Don't hire a hair stylist or a makeup artist - you see I don't wear makeup most of the time, so...🤷🏽‍♀️
