Hi, I'm Karida, and I love empowering Tap Teachers with ideas to bring more fun & excellence to their classes.
From my years in NYC as a professional Tap dancer, I can tell you that Improv Tap Dance is a THING.
There are musical theater auditions where dancers are asked to "improv the last 8 counts", and sooooo many are unprepared and terrified.
Whether it's a local jam session, convention class or college/pro audition, it's our job to prepare our Tap students to improvise with confidence, so they can enjoy those moments!
Here's a simple exercise to get your students started.

How the Challenge Works
Step 1:
Sign up for the challenge to the get the improv exercise & the "teacher's guide" materials.
Step 2:
Try out the exercise in a Tap class this week & take video!
You can film from the waist down for privacy if necessary
Step 3:
Upload your video by Sun, March 10th for a chance to win a scholarship to DC Tap Fest!
